Counter Point’s founders began their payroll journey decades ago in a small office with no clients but an unwavering vision. They had a deep desire to create a business that places clients’ and employees’ needs first by improving on the best technology on the market and coupling it with the sort of personalized support generally lacking in the industry. 

We called this the next level of Payroll Solutions.

By the time they reached their ten-year anniversary they had more than 2,000 raving fans as clients and 50 bright, responsive employees giving those clients exactly what they wanted – a personal relationship that met all of their firm’s payroll needs. 

Three things continued this growth – our philosophy towards customer service, a strong work ethic, and our company culture. 

We were different, clients loved us. 

Over the years, the market shifted. We stayed ahead of the tide. First came services that helped organizations satisfy compliance and focus on strategy. Then we took things to the next level with our sophisticated, cloud-based HCM platform, powered by isolved. For the next 10 years, we met and exceeded the workforce management needs of organizations, regardless of size or industry. 

No longer “just a payroll company” we transformed into a full-service provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions. Our offices were roomier, clients numbered into the thousands, but our mission remained the same: to serve and support small and mid-sized businesses proactively, effectively and intimately.

After decades of record-growth, the industry took notice. Rather than simply copy our business practices and philosophy, the founders of Counter Point were approached and their company was acquired by major market player, isolved.

Yes, certainly, we could have sat back and enjoyed the fruits of our labor. There was no business reason to redeploy. However, the same spirit that caused us to take the initial risk and provide innovative client solutions compelled us to go deeper into our core values and create a new service platform unlike any other in the industry – the Counter Point Services Platform.
